Let's Talk Green

21st Century Green Technology

The best in orthopedic services and facilities.
The best for energy conservation and green technology.

Two top goals of Major Health Partners from the ground up. As visitors today experience firsthand, the ReNovo Orthopaedic Center indeed represents one of the most “green” medical buildings in the region.

Revolving wind spires at the ReNovo entrance are both practical and illustrative. The eye-catching twisting turbines actively underscore the green nature of the facility and also generate real electrical power to help operate ReNovo medical equipment. Designed by LEEDS-certified professionals at Ratio Architects in Indianapolis, the building’s roof features a special white membrane that reflects sunlight and relieves cooling loads during the summer season.

National research shows that nature-focused facilities can promote healing, so ReNovo was specifically designed to allow natural sunlight throughout the building. Daylight sensors help control lighting levels within ReNovo, providing balanced light with the daylight filtering from the strategically placed, energy efficient windows.

After you park your car in the ReNovo lot, you may notice the special water-filtering pavement. This pavement filters out debris from vehicles and allows groundwater to be safely absorbed and feed area gardens and lawns.
